Bally welcomes you to the fantasy kingdom, where the mighty Evil Knight is about to be defeated. The brave Sword Lady and Sword Man need your help to take over the reign, and all daredevils who decide to join their ranks will be lucratively rewarded for their allegiance.
Sword of Destiny is the latest product coming from Bally’s creative kitchen, featuring five reels, three or five rows and offering 25-50 paylines that pay left to right. The reels are set in front of the Evil Knight’s castle, where the battle for supremacy is about to begin. The 2017 release offers plenty of action, including four base-game Bonus features, a Free Games Bonus and the Rewarding Temple Tower Jackpot, offering coin prizes and three possible jackpots.
Bally is one of the oldest and most recognised slot manufacturing companies in the iGaming market. The company from Las Vegas started working back in 1968 under the name of Advanced Patent Technology.
After that, the company changed the name into Alliance Gaming and in 1996 was acquired by Bally Gaming International. The Nevada-based slot provider offers state-of-the-art products to their customers. The Bally titles offer high-quality gaming software and innovative special features.
How to Play it
Sword of Destiny starts off as a five-reel, three-row slot with 25 fixed paylines that pay left to right, starting from the leftmost reel. Once you trigger one of four base game Bonus features, two extra rows will be added with 25 additional paylines, but more about that later. The slot runs on the new X-Zone engine and the reels are set in an upright portrait design, with plenty of kickass animations constantly rotating above the reels.
Gamers need to bet 40 coins for each spin, but it is possible to change the coin value, which goes from $0.01 to $4. The lowest players can bet is $0.40, and the biggest wager that can be placed is set at $160. Three of a kind is the minimum for winning payouts, so land at least three matching symbols on a payline if you want to start winning coins.
The Evil Knight rules this fantasy kingdom, but not for long, because Sword Man and the Sword Lady are trying to take over the reign. Players will also see Evil Knight’s Castle, a Flask, Glove, Necklace and a Scroll, all of them representing symbols that appear on the reels. The Sword of Destiny is the Wild and will substitute for all symbols except the XZONE Scatter and the Bonus Scatter. The Sword Wild can also appear as a Clumped Wild, covering the entire reel.
Four random Bonus features are available during base game. All of them have one thing in common – once they are triggered, two rows will be added and 25 extra paylines will be available. If you get the Clumped Wilds feature, 1-3 reels will be filled with Clumped Wilds, meaning that these reels will become Wild reels.
In the Random Wilds feature, 4-9 Wilds will be added all over the reels. In the Picture Wilds feature 4-10 adjacent positions will be covered by Wilds. As for the Symbols Upgrade feature, some of four low-paying symbols will be upgraded to one of the high-paying symbols.
The Free Games Bonus is triggered once punters land three XZONE Scatters on reels 2, 3 and 4. Eight free spins are awarded and a 2x multiplier of the total bet. During each freebie, a different multiplier is applied on every win, so you can get 2x-10x boost on every winning combination. Every additional XZONE Scatter that appears on the reels during the feature will get you one extra free spin.
Golden Coins will appear from time to time on reels 1, 3 and 5. These Coins represent Bonus Scatters and trigger the Temple Tower Jackpot feature. Players will be taken to a different screen where a ladder with 16 steps appears. All 16 steps represent coin prizes and three different jackpots. Underneath the ladder there will be 20 coins displayed and gamers will get three picks. Each pick will get you 1-6 steps up the ladder. Once all three picks are made, spinners will get the prize located on the step they have reached.
The Sword of Destiny video slot offers plenty of opportunities for hefty payouts. The Temple Tower Jackpot feature offers three different jackpots, and, if our sources are correct, the top jackpot will get you 500 times the triggering bet, which can go up to $80,000 if you bet to the max!
The Free Games Bonus is also very generous, thanks to random multipliers that can go up to 10x and are applied on all winning combinations. The highest-paying symbol of the 2017 release is the Evil Knight, which offers 12.5 times the bet for five of a kind.
Fans of epic fantasy are in for a real treat with the Bally title. Apart from housing crisp visuals and outstanding soundtrack, the 2017 release offers plenty of interesting and very rewarding additional features.
Like every fantasy story, Sword of Destiny is packed with action, which will certainly please action junkies. However, epic fantasy and too many special features is not everybody’s cup of tea, so gamers who like to keep it simple will not visit this kingdom. As for us, we will recommend Sword of Destiny to everyone, since it kept us chained to our seats for hours.
