WMS has done a wonderful job for their associates Scientific Games in creating a fantastically exciting video slot titled Frozen Inferno. This 5-reel, 40-payline game features a double layered playing system with two separate and quite contrasting games on offer.
You will choose a Frozen world of sticky wilds and sub-zero temperatures or a fiery world of Infernal Wilds that roam from place to place in a burning hot atmosphere. Does is sound exciting? It does and it is.
What We Love
We love the fact that this game took us by surprise. The title Frozen Inferno had us confused for a moment, together with the dual-mode gameplay, but trust us in saying that there is nothing confusing in this latest slot by WMS, who have outdone themselves to create one hell of a game.
Attention to detail is commendable as WMS built two different graphical set-ups both for the Frozen part of the game and the Inferno mode. Two games sound completely different, but they actually complement each other.
The only actual difference – aside from the graphics – is a Wild. The frozen game features a sticky Wild in the center of your reels, while the Inferno game boasts a roving Wild which goes from one place to another as you hit the spin button. There is something really fascinating about this game and we must say that this might be the first time we actually have a feeling that game wants us to win.
Additional Wilds will be added to your reels on your every spin in both modes and those wilds go up to 4 when all you have to do is to wait for the appropriate bonus symbol for Bonus Game to be activated. The Bonus round is equally stunning as the game will award you with endless spins which will go on and on until you land 5 guaranteed wins. What is more, there are credit enhancements and random multipliers at your disposal as well in this highly rewarding game.
What We Do Not Like
Tastes differ so widely that all we can say about this game’s appearance that is bound to split the opinions. We love those dark-themed, wizardly games that take you away into the world of mystery, but we also know for the fact that plenty of gamers are not too keen on those kinds of slots.
There is one thing that we can all agree on being a shortcoming to this wonderful game though. It’s the bet. To be fair, being available at $0.40 Frozen Inferno is quite an affordable slot, but having in mind that the maximum stake is $200 it is fair to say that the game can be expensive for those who like to set their bet to the maximum.
Floating and sticky Wilds make this game very interesting with wins coming quite often, but you should also keep your eyes on the bank roll since not all wins will make up for the invested money.
Maybe the game’s wizards cast a spell on us, as we are enchanted with it and that is the most honest verdict you will get from us. Expensive maximum bet aside, Frozen Inferno is filled with excellent features that are fun to play with and we have no doubt that this double-mode video slot will be a big hit in the gaming community.
